The architectural design of this residence draws inspiration from the traditional architecture of Corfu, redefining it through a modern design approach. The sloping plot creates a natural hierarchy of spaces, with the main entrance located on the upper level, offering direct access to the communal areas of the house. Internally, all living spaces are organized on the upper floor in an open-plan layout, while the lower floor (ground level) accommodates two private bedrooms with direct access to the outdoor space.
The residence incorporates two spacious terraces with uninterrupted views of the landscape, while three separate yards on different levels take advantage of the slope, offering varied outdoor living experiences. The first yard, covered by a wooden pergola, serves as a relaxation and shading area. The second, larger yard features a swimming pool, while the third, more secluded one, blends harmoniously with the natural environment.
The architectural solution of the building reflects the traditional local heritage through its compact form, the prominent window frames, the pitched tile roof, the materials, and the colors. These elements harmonize with the landscape, enhancing the timeless aesthetic of the project and emphasizing the balance between tradition and modernity.
