Chatzivasileiou Architecture & Construction are a group of engineers, of various specialties, with their main object of work to be the study and construction of mainly private projects, on a small and on a large scale.

The functionality, but also the quality of the construction, combined with the assurance of meeting the needs of each user, through personal and continuous contact with them, constitute the philosophy of the office.

Each member of the team contributes with their knowledge, experience and know-how, with the aim of a perfect result.

From the idea to the design, from the pre-study stage to the implementation study. Regardless of the scale of the project, the emphasis is both on functionality and the requirements and desires of the users.

History

Chatzivasileiou Architecture & Construction team is a successful example of the harmonious coexistence of two generations, with many years of experience and thorough training in the field of construction projects. They have undertaken and carried out numerous studies and projects.

In 1979, Nikos Chatzivasileiou, Architect – Civil Engineer, founded his first technical office in Patras, in the exact same location it is still today. In 1985, together with fellow engineers, he opened a technical office branch in Kato Achaia, which he maintained until 1990.

In 2009, Antonis Chatzivasileiou, a Civil Engineer, joined the office and in 2018 was Marialena’s Chatzivasileiou, Architectural Engineer, turn to join.
In 2021, in collaboration with KATECHIS+partners (ARCHITECTS and ENGINEERS), a branch of the two offices was established in Kolonaki, Athens.

Over the years, the potential of the team is enriched with engineers of various specialties evolving into a “hive” of cooperation that continues to develop, through ongoing training and harmonization with new data.

Our Team

Nikolaos Chatzivasiliou

Born and raised in Patras (1952). He holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree from the University of Bologna (1974) and a Master of Science in Structuring with armed concrete, with specialization in computer programming from the University of Milan (1975). He also holds a BSc as Architect Engineer from the University of Milan (1985). Since 1977, he has worked as a freelancer, with his first office operating in Athens. In 1979 he founded his office in Patras, which has been active ever since. He has retired since 2012, however he still participates in the Chatzivasileiou Architecture & Construction team as an advisor.

Antonis Chatzivasiliou

Born and raised in Patras (1982). He is a Beng Civil Engineer from the Civil Engineering Department of Portsmouth University, UK (2007). He holds an MSc in Civil Engineering Structures from City University of London, UK (2008), as well as an MSc in business administration (M.B.A.) from the Department of Business Administration of Patras’ University (2012). He is a founding member of the Chatzivasileiou Architecture & Construction team, leading the static studies department (both for conventional constructions from armed concrete and for metallic or alloy constructions). He is involved in the control and enhancement of building structures, as well as in the supervision and management of the construction.

Marialena Chatzivasiliou

Born in Athens (1993) and raised in Patras. She holds a Diploma in Architectural Engineering, having graduated from the School of Architectural Engineering at the Technical University of Crete (2017), and a Master’s degree (2024) from the Department of Postgraduate, Doctoral, and Postdoctoral Studies at the University of West Attica. Since 2017, she has been a founding member of Chatzivasileiou Architecture & Construction and leads the architectural design team, playing an active role in the design process—from the initial concept to construction detailing—as well as in the building permits department.

Katerina Lampri

Born and raised in Patras (1983). She holds a BSc as Architect, having graduated from the Department of Architectural Engineering of the Polytechnic School of the University of Patras (2006) and is also a holder of an MSc in Architecture (MArch) degree from the Department of Architectural Engineering of the University of Thessaly (2011). Since 2007 she has been working as a freelancer and deals with the study and design of private projects. In 2021 she joined Chatzivasileiou Architecture & Construction and is the head of the architectural design team with an active role in the design process, from the initial concept, to the construction detail.

Eleni Papadimitriou

She was born and raised in Patras (1990). She holds a BSc as Architect, having graduated from the Department of Architectural Engineering of the Polytechnic School of the University of Patras (2015). Since 2015 she has been working as a freelancer and deals with the study and design of private projects. She immediately joined Chatzivasileiou Architecture & Construction participating in the architectural design team as well as in the department responsible for issuing permits.

Sofia Karavasili

Born and raised in Patras (1999). She holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the Department of Infrastructure Projects at the University of Western Greece, based in Patras. In 2022, she joined Chatzivasileiou Architecture & Construction, where she contributes to the design and structural study team, as well as the overall coordination of the office.

Nancy Antjoulatou

Born and raised in Patras (1987). She holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the School of Engineering of the University of Peloponnese based in Patras. She is completing her postgraduate studies in Advanced Technologies of Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering, specializing in Design and Production at the Department of Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering, of the Polytechnic School of the University of Patras. She is a member of the research team of the Technical Thermodynamics Laboratory of the Energy Sector, in the same department. She is a new member of the Chatzivasileiou Architecture & Construction team with an advisory role in energy studies and environmental issues.
