This two story house with an attic in the coastal suburb of Glyfada was designed to cover the needs of two families creating a serene environment within the intense presence of nature.
The building is set in the centre of the plot creating two yards on either side. The front yard, hoting the main entrance of the building and the ramp for the underground parking faces the road, holds a more social character. On the contrary, the back yard with a pool on one side, keeps a private and more peaceful character.
The ground floor having immediate access to the yards is designed for the first family. It accommodates daycare areas, an office, a big bedroom with a private bathroom and walk-in closet, as well as auxiliary areas. The second floor and the attic are formed to fit the needs of the second family. On the second floor daycare spaces, two bedrooms and auxiliary areas are hosted, whereas the attic contains a bedroom with a private bathroom and walk-in closet and an office. On each level, semi-outdoor spaces or terraces have been formed offering the desired direct contact with nature. On the basement there are two parking spaces and auxiliary areas.
The views are dominated by the intense lines of prominent frames that surround the floor yards and the terraces of the stories and the inclined roof, under which the attic is formed. An off-white color is chosen for all the facades, which is harmonically combined with wooden elements and details.
